holdem game share with you

holdem game share with you

Last night at Wynn's 10/20 table

I am in middle position (Stack 4500), my image loose aggressive, table image tight, a korean loose aggressive villain (3600) at the late position.

I get Ad7d, limp 20, 6 callers. Pot 120

flop JcTd3d

I bet $80, fold to korean who raise to $300, all others fold, heads-up.

What you will do?

.........................

i would like to gather 3 replies & tell the on-going story.

TOP

3 bet his raise and is ready to call a shove
or shove turn myself

TOP

Call and reevaluate turn. Slowplay if diamond hits on turn, fold to a bet it doesnt hit.

TOP

I'll reraise, but only raise to like 700-900ish, if he shoves i'll fold
You don't have position, so you want to be the aggressor
Calling should be fine, but there is not much implied odds since he'll be aware of the flush too.

TOP

my thinking is exactly same as purple ball, as i am out of position, i have to be the aggressor. (if i call, turn no diamond, i check and he bet half pot, i must fold. if turn diamond, i slow play check he must check, i bet too much , he will fold)

against a loose player, i put him get a top pair with nice kicker.

so i raise to $700, he thinks for 30 seconds and call.

turn card As.

maurice, fisher, ball, what you put this guy have?
what will you do then?

TOP

I'll check here, if he bets I'll instant shove.
I don't mind if I get a free card, since my pair of Ace has some showdown value, and I'm on a flush draw as well.

I put him on a pair of Jacks with a decent kicker, like QJ, KJ
Or maybe lower 2 pair or sets, Q high flush draw
premium hands very unlikely, since no ones want to limp in with AA against 6 players, unless he is a donk
Also is your opponent a calling station? Or capable of folding decent hands?
Fold equity is also a factor that needs to be considered with

Most probably turned a low set on flop. The worst case for you would be AJ, but quite possible since he just limped preflop.

TOP

after he call my re-raise, i put him
1. two pairs, so he just can call but cannot raise
2. flush draw, but maybe a k/Q high flush
3. KQ, open-end straight draw with two over cards (which i scare most), but probaly not as he limp preflop.
4. i dun think he get JQ/JK as he is a good player and can fold for medium hands

let's back.
i pretend to get J with gd kicker(AJ) and limp AJ in early position is normal, so i just bet $500 so as to take down the pot right now. as i dun want to show weakness for him to bluff and in fact that is also a blocking bet i think at that moment.

he call.
what you suppose he get?

TOP

Lol too many editing.
Good stuff our thinking pattern is similar.

betting 500 is a bit small and suspicious, if he just simply call then it is very unlikely he has 2 pairs
Slowplaying sets also not too possible, because the board is too dangerous
I think he has a pair, looking for a cheap showdown or on a draw. As the bet is too small, any drawing hand will call here.

TOP

pocket 3's?

TOP

chaser
8d9d or KdQd

his flop raise makes sense with these combo draws

but then you show strength on flop/turn, so he can only see if he gets lucky
a diamond on river then he's shipping

TOP

It will be funny if he actually had KQd and a diamond 9 came which gives you nut flush and him a straight flush

TOP

i dun think he get KdQd, if so, he get nut straight now, y dun he raise me?
(btw, even a 9d would not make him a straight flush as the flop is JcTd3d)

i just put him get following hand now:
1. two pair and just as purple ball said, show up cheaply for a medium hand
2. flush draw
3. i dun think he get a pair only as he is not a calling station.

river is Kd (a lucky card for me!!!)
what will u do?

TOP

So now you have the nuts, what you need to think is to extract most money of that guy.

I'll bet around $1000, pretend to buy the pot cheaply
This bet is very reasonable, a Q high made flush will reraise, which is what you want to see
the pot is around $3000-4000, even a single pair should be willing to call with $1000

I won't do a checkraise here, because your opponent hasn't been showing strength after the flop
and he might check down with hands like baby flush or 2 pair.
