my macbook has a crack on the side near the trackpad and my warranty has expired, does anyone know if i have to pay to repair in hongkong?

well....i am in canada now and the crack is considered as a design problem, so i dont have to pay if i go to apple stores here...the problem is the store is very far away from my place......that's why i am just wondering if its better to repair in hk...
