MMO定義: Massively multiplayer online game is a computer game which is capable of supporting hundreds or thousands of players simultaneously.(翻譯: MMO是可以同一時間支援過百以至過千玩家的電腦遊戲.) Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MMO

MMO遊戲入面, 大量玩家會透過互聯網於同一虛擬世界互動.
因此網上小遊戲, Flash games及有network mode的電腦遊戲並不符合MMO定義.
