My elementry TN on 1995 Pichon Lalande

My elementry TN on 1995 Pichon Lalande

Tried it on friday night.  Decant for 1 hour and it give me an impression of a subtle but well structured performance.  silky tannin and moderate aroma.  the power in palate is not strong but long lasting.  My friend and I draw to the same feeling that its an elegant / feminine wine.  the performance reaches to a higher level at after 2-3 hours.

During that evening we also tried a 94 Beaucastel.  after we pore them out to decanter, we compare the residue in bottles and found that the stain of beaucastel are coated onto the glass bottle but the Lalande one didn't. the question is: is it a hint that this 14 years old wine was not stored / vintaged properly?

Sediments are normal for aged wine.  It is just a matter of how fine are the final filtering.  For Australian wines, sediments typically start to form after just about 7 years.

but does it mean anything whether or not the sediment coat onto the wall of bottle?
